2 local students are scholarship recipients

Two Carter County students are among the several recipients of James H. Quillen Scholarships at East Tennessee State University.

Local recipients include Sherri Glover Collins of Elizabethton and Rachel Arwood of Hampton.

The $4,000 scholarships were created through a bequest to ETSU by the late James H. Quillen, who represented Tennessee’s First Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives for 34 years.
