2 sentenced in local home invasion
A 10-year prison sentence and a five-year alternative sentence were handed down Wednesday against two people convicted of robbing an Elizabethton man at his mother’s home last year.
Jonathan Chapman and Kimberly Crable, both 20, appeared in Carter County Criminal Court on Wednesday before Judge Robert Cupp. They were two of four people accused of entering a Field Road residence on Jan. 2, 2011, assaulting a resident, identified as Michael Jason Davis, and stealing his personal items. Bethany Collins, who has already been sentenced to eight years in prison, and Christopher Phillips, whose case is pending, were also involved in the robbery, Elizabethton police investigators said.
