11:33 am Woman reports more than $10,000 in items stolen from residence
A county resident reported Monday that about $10,240 worth of items were missing from her residence.
Lois Greer, of 120 Stone Dye Private Drive, Elizabethton, spoke to Lt. Dean Jones of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department on Monday. Greer said she noticed jewelry was missing on Sunday. She and her husband then checked the rest of the residence and noticed several items missing. In addition, Greer said she was unable to find any forced entry into the home and did not have any suspects.
Various pieces of jewelry, weapons, fishing equipment and cash were reported missing.
