12:25 pm Bryan Smith joins Pine Ridge Care & Rehab as chaplain
Pine Ridge Care and Rehab Center of Elizabethton, owned by Signature HealthCARE, announces that Rev. Bryan Smith has joined the organization as the full-time chaplain. Bryan comes to Pine Ridge with many years of experience in the ministry and also serves in a dual role as the lead pastor of The Gathering at Elizabethton. He served a number of years in the field of marketing and sales before accepting this full-time ministry role.

As the Chaplain at Pine Ridge Care and Rehab Center, Smith strives to connect to the heart and experience of the resident, employee and family member, with whom he meets daily. He offers an abundance of love, hope and encouragement through listening, prayer, one on one interaction, coordination of worship activities and other modes of fellowship.
Smith is connected to the community in an effort to provide additional resources and spiritual leadership to meet requests and needs, and partners with the clinical, social services, quality of life and therapy teams to enhance the overall healing process of our residents. “Since my arrival last September I have taken the time to get to know the residents and employees of Pine Ridge and am hopeful and excited about the mission being undertaken by Signature to bring spirituality into daily life,” Smith said
The interfaith Signature Chaplain Program seeks to meet the spiritual needs of its residents, employees and family members through a non-denominational approach of respecting all persons and is the only facility of its type that employees a full-time chaplain in Elizabethton. “We welcome Bryan to Signature’s Department of Spirituality, founded on the healing well of unconditional love. We work inside unending mercy, abounding joy, restorative peace, and hope in miracles,” says Dianne Timmering, Vice President of the Department of Spirituality. She noted that the aim of the Signature Chaplaincy Program is to offer stress relief to the employee, encouragement to the resident that reduces anxiety and validates strong hope in their physical, spiritual and emotional wellness, and peace for the family member.
