Little Milligan and Unaka laid claim to the small school basketball championships played at Unaka High School Monday.
The well-balanced Buffaloes breezed past Unaka 61-31 in the boys’ final while the Lady Jr. Rangers disposed of Keenburg 33-15 on the girls’ side. The Range girls and Keenburg boys were victorious in the consolation contests.

For the third consecutive season, the Buffaloes went undefeated in league play and won the district championship.
Little Milligan placed four players in double-figures in its 30-point win.
The Lady Jr. Rangers left little doubt who would be taking home top prize. Unaka led 16-0 midway through the second quarter before Keenburg could get on the scoreboard.
