Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maupin celebrated golden anniversary

Charles “Larry” and Margaret “Margie” Maupin, 500 Pear Tree Lane, Elizabethton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, February 8, 2012.

The couple were married on February 8, 1962, in Johnson City by Silas Goodman.

Mr. Maupin is a retired construction worker.

Mrs. Maupin, the former Margaret “Margie” Howell, is a homemaker.

The couple have three children, Larry A. Maupin of Chuckey, Steve Maupin of Elizabethton and Tammy McKinley of Elizabethton.

They also have seven grandchildren.
