Mr. and Mrs. Richard Street mark golden anniversary

Richard and Lula Belle Street were married 50 years on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012.

They were married Nov. 17, 1962 at Little Doe Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Luther Rodefer.

Mrs. Street is the former Lula Belle Smith.

They are both graduates of Hampton High School. Richard graduated in 1956 and Lula Belle in 1958.

Richard served in the Armed Forces from 1961 to 1963. He was employed as a lineman with the Elizabethton Electric System for 35 years.

Lula Belle has 50 years service as a registered nurse.

The couple are the parents of three children, Joe, Jan and Jill.

They have seven grandchildren, Jacob, Weston and Landen Street, Beth and Jude Hickman and Nicholas and Vanessa Kennedy.
