Rev. and Mrs. Marvin Sheets celebrated 35th anniversary

Rev. and Mrs. Marvin Sheets, 646 Hampton Creek Road, Roan Mountain, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Thursday, November 24, 2011.

They were married November 24, 1976 at Free Methodist Church in Johnson City by Rev. Charley Heath.

Mrs. Sheets is the former Charlene White.

The couple are the parents of a daughter, Melissa Sheets Roark, and husband, Willie, and a son, Christopher Sheets, and wife, Penny, all of Roan Mountain.

They have three grandchildren, Uriah and Justin Sheets and Faith Roark.
