Austin – Smith

Mr. Guy Austin of Johnson City and Ms. Roberta Naholowaa of Elizabethton announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Marie Austin, to Matthew Bryan Smith, son of Mr. Bryan Smith and Mrs. Lisa Sprague of Elizabethton.

Elizabeth will be graduating from East Tennessee State University in December with a bachelor of science in early childhood education. She is currently self-employed.

She is the granddaughter of Louise Austin of Elizabethton and the late Bill Austin, and the late Bert and Ruby Naholowaa.

Her fiancé is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a bachelor of science and a master’s degree in sociology. He is employed as a professor at Big Sandy Community and Technical College in Prestonburg, Ky.

Matthew is the grandson of James and Sue Bowers and Nadine Crews, all of Elizabethton, and the late Aubrey Smith.

The couple will exchange vows during a private wedding ceremony at The Coffee Company in Elizabethton on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 5 p.m.
