Barn party in city results in numerous arrests

Local law enforcement officers say an underage drinking party in Elizabethton was stopped over the weekend, resulting in numerous arrests.

Patrolman Eric Buck of the Elizabethton Police Department reported that he was flagged down by a resident who resides on Hattie Avenue. The subject told Buck several individuals were in a barn beside the alleyway that runs off South Sycamore Street. The man told the officer he observed three subjects walking down the alley and one of them was drinking from a liquor bottle.
