BRISTOL — For more than a quarter century, Bristol Motor Speedway has carried the reputation as the NASCAR circuit’s most astounding arena for fender-banging action.
Three falls from now, the legendary bullring will host college football largest’s crowd ever. Tennessee and Virginia Tech will clash in the infield for the “The Battle at Bristol.”
Sept 10, 2016 is the date. BMS holds 165,000 spectators, owner Bruton Smith has repeatedly stressed. The record mark is 115,109 set last month at Michigan Stadium in the Wolverines’ win over Notre Dame.
