CCT President Tom Anderson outlined four core projects centered on job development, job retention, and infrastructure.
Those projects?

• Redeveloping the area around West Elk Avenue in west Elizabethton;
• Acquiring a piece of property for industrial development in western Carter County;
• Maintaining goals for job retention and expansion; and
• The Roan Mountain sewer project.

Before Anderson’s presentation, CCT Chairman Richard Tester said the shift in the board’s focus was geared toward creating quantifiable goals.

“We’re trying to do some restructuring,” Tester said. “We want to minimize some of what we do, make some … priorities and planning that will give us some measurable goals in the future.”
