Board recommends giving Little League primary use of Billy Bob Garrison fields

Members of the Carter County American Little League may soon have a permanent place to play ball if City Council accepts a recommendation from the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Board.
Little League officials approached the parks and recreation department to ask for primary use of the ball fields at the Billy Bob Garrison field at Cat Island Park. The request came after league officials found there was a higher participation in the program and that additional playing fields were needed to host all of the games.
