11:16 am Bodies recovered in Roan Mountain
Law enforcement responded to a call at 120 Hemlock Lane, Roan Mountain, on Tuesday morning at about 10:20 a.m.
Capt. Rocky Croy with the Carter County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that two bodies were located at the scene.
The investigation is in its preliminary stages. A fire in the garage at the residence was still smoldering when they arrived on the scene.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been called to lend assistance.
A mobile home at 120 on Hemlock Lane was also recently the site of a possible arson. That investigation is also ongoing.
