Buffaloes keep up good work of late in AAC

By

Junior post Chris Ellis scored his first career double-double and had a career high 21 points as Milligan stopped Truett-McConnell 91-72 on Wednesday night at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse. The win gives the Buffs (8-6, AAC, 14-8 overall) wins in five out of their last six Appalachian Athletic Conference games.

Senior guard Torian Sitton got the rim-rocking festivities off and running with a two-handed slam off a steal from sophomore point guard Cartree Pettis. Then with the score standing 16-12 in favor of the Bears, junior guard Mickey Woods scored a deuce.

Ellis, a former Tennessee High standout, got his first points in the paint. After a free throw by Mike Woods Jr., Ellis scored on a one-handed dunk over Truett-McConnell post David Ward.
