Buffs-Eagles make 7th-inning heroics

Milligan College’s baseball team surely hopes its recent misfortune has been reversed after Friday night’s gut-wrenching victory over Point.
Sam Tarlton’s run-scoring single with no outs in the bottom of the seventh lifted the Buffs to a 7-6 Appalachian Athletic Conference baseball victory. Earlier, Point punched in three runs in the top of the seventh to prevail 8-6 in the first game of the doubleheader.
“It was a good win, especially after our first game loss,” Milligan coach Nathan Meade said. “In the first game we felt like we gave one away, but our kids battled. We’ve been needing a game like that.
