The months of October and November have not been kind to the Milligan College men’s soccer team as offensive output has dwindled and goals have been a scarcity with four shutout losses.
On Wednesday evening at Anglin Field in the play-in game to the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament, Milligan (3-7 AAC, 3-14 overall) fell to Union College 3-1 to end its season in disappointing fashion.
“You could kind of sum up our season in this game,” said Buffaloes head coach Adam Laney. “I certainly feel as if we could be in it, but we didn’t score the goals. The goal on a couple of mere chances for them, and we couldn’t dig out of the hole.”
