Butler crash sends two to hospital
A head-on collision on Thursday during the lunch hour in Butler sent two men to local hospitals.
The two-vehicle crash was reported on State Route 67 in Johnson County near the Carter County line. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that the driver of a Saturn Ion had crossed the center line and struck a Nissan box truck head-on. The driver of the Saturn was airlifted to the Johnson City Medical Center by Wings Air Rescue. He was in critical condition on Thursday evening, according to the THP. The driver of the box truck was taken to Sycamore Shoals Hospital for minor injuries.
