Canine friends can paddle at Legion Street Pool event

The Legion Street Pool in Johnson City is going to the dogs!

Pet owners are invited to bring their canine friends to the pool for swimming Friday-Sunday, Sept. 14-16. Pool time on Friday is from 5 to 8 p.m., and from 1 to 6 p.m. on the other two days.

Admission is $5 per dog. Dogs must be at least six months old. Owners must be at least 16 years old to bring dogs, with a two-dog per owner limit. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their their pet and must have shot records and a leash on hand. No choke or spiked collars will be allowed. Feeding of dogs is not permitted.

Only dogs will be allowed in the pool.

Lifeguards will be on duty.
