Carter County drug raids net more than 20 arrests

A round of arrests in Carter County, dubbed “Operation Strike Two” by law enforcement officers, resulted in more than 20 people in custody on a range of charges, Sheriff Chris Mathes said Tuesday.
Mathes said the raids targeting methamphetamine manufacturers and sellers came after months of investigation by county drug officers.
“We’re continuously targeting people who are buying large amounts of pseudoephedrine and we’re getting intelligence from people,” the sheriff said. “They’re not all total meth heads. Some are warrants for violation of probation, things like that, but they’re hanging out with these people and some have led us to a lab.”
As of Wednesday morning, 19 people were charged with drug offenses after Tuesday’s raid, according to Carter County Jail intake records. They are:

  • Robin Jacquelyn Boone, 36, charged with six counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing;
  • Mary Lou Buckner, 65, charged with sale of a Schedule III controlled narcotic;
  • Charles Ray Buckner, 64, charged with two counts of sale of a Schedule III controlled narcotic;
  • Angel Marie Arnold, 28, charged with 13 counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing ;
  • Crystal Starr Baines, 29, charged with two counts of sale of a Schedule II controlled narcotic;
  • Jorge Juan Shoun, 41, charged with seven counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine;
  • Bradley Carroll White, 32, charged with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are kept;
  • Trina Gale Hildebrand, 38, charged with sale of a Schedule III controlled narcotic in a school zone;
  • Cody Wayne Fletcher, 26, charged with four counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, violation of probation;
  • Rex Brandon Johnson, 33, charged with attempted promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, eight counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing;
  • Crystal Gale Birchfield, 31, charged with six counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, failure to appear in court, violation of probation;
  • Erin Louise-Noel Robinson, 36, charged with aggravated child endangerment, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling where illegal narcotics are manufactured, introduction of contraband into a penal facility;
  • Randy Lee Swearingen, 26, charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a dwelling where illegal narcotics are manufactured, violation of probation;
  • Larry Wayne White III, 28, charged with 12 counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, maintainign a dwelling where illegal narcotics are manufactured, felony possession of drug paraphernalia;
  • Nathaniel James Gibson, 30, charged with 10 counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, two counts of felony child endangerment, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are manufactured;
  • Leah Michelle Deloach, 29, charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing;
  • Andy Wayne Whitehead, charged with sale of a Schedule II controlled narcotic;
  • Johnny Kay Hensley, charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing;
  • Kathy Lynn Hilton, charged with four counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing, initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine;
  • Jason Curtis Jones, 36, sale of Schedule II controlled narcotics
  • Tony Reed Hildebrand, 37, sale of a Schedule III controlled narcotic in a school zone
  • Raggan jason Sexton, 40, seven counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing
  • Tara Michelle Reyes, 35, three counts of aggravated child endangerment
  • Crystal Marie Arnold, 26, 20 counts of promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing

The Carter County Sheriff’s Department is still seeking seven people targeted by the raids:

  • James Melvin Brummitt
  • Robert James Moffitt
  • Jesse Taylor Timbs
  • Robert Lynn Burchfield
  • Andrew J. Baumgardner
  • Michael Paul Bartlett Sr.
  • Keri Ellen Blair

The CCSD asks anyone with information that may lead to their arrests to call 542-2350.
