Charges filed after man allegedly shoots at occupied truck
Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Hampton man who shot at an occupied truck outside of his home on Saturday evening.
Deputy Michael Freeman of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department said officers were dispatched to a Hampton business on Saturday at 7:39 p.m. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Freeman and Sgt. Wayne Pritchard made contact with Thomas Lyman and Susan Lemley about the incident. The two individuals said they had gone to Lemley’s ex-boyfriend’s home at 186 Swimming Pool Road to retrieve property.
