Roan Street FWB
Vacation Bible School will be held at Roan Street Freewill Baptist Church from June 6-8. The theme for VBS is “Sonlight Express: Jesus and Me.”
VBS will be held each day from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The commencement program will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 10.

CrossPointe Fellowship
CrossPointe Fellowship Church will hold revival services June 3-7.
Services on Sunday, June 3, will be held 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Services Monday through Thursday will be held at 7 p.m.
Brother Manny Mill will conduct the services each evening. Mill has been an amazing testimony and influence in the evangelical community. Born in Cuba, he saw the violent takeover of Fidel Castro, which resulted in his family being stripped of their property and business. His family defected and eventually made their way to the United States.
Mill would later run afoul of the law after becoming involved with check fraud. However, he received Christ as his personal savior, served time in prison for his mistakes and attended Wheaton College after his release.
He earned two degrees and wrote a book, Radical Redemption, on his experiences. His ministry team at Koinonia House National Ministry conducts prison revivals and equips ex-convicts for their re-entry into society.

Word Prevails
Word Prevails Church will host Philippines missionary Arthur Peters as minister for the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, June 3.
Peters works with Touching the Nations, a Philippines ministry.

First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will have its monthly Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, June 2, at 8 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $3 per person.
The Willing Workers Class will have their first fishing expedition and fish fry, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in Butler.
At 9 a.m. Saturday, the VBS crew will set up for Vacation Bible School. Vacation Bible School will be held Monday through Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Classes will be provided for children 5 years to 12 years of age (K-6th grade). Children are invited to attend and bring their friends on the Sonshine Express!
The Ladies Bible Study group will meet in the Fidelis Classroom Monday at 10 a.m.; Tuesday morning prayer will be held at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary; Wednesday evening classes will be dismissed due to VBS; Sunrise and Volunteer Circles will meet Thursday. Other circle meetings have been postponed until next week due to VBS.
The elders will meet in the conference room at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Valley Forge FWB
Vacation Bible School will be held Monday through Friday, June 4-8, at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day. The theme of the VBS is “From Raindrops to Rainbows” with Tim and Amanda Colbaugh as directors. There will be classes for toddlers to teens.
A VBS rally to kick off the week’s activities will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Revival will begin Monday, June 4, at the St. John Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain. Services will begin at 7 o’clock each evening and will feature special singing. Revival speakers will be Rev. Carl Grindstaff and Rev. Jim Storie.

Southside Christian
Southside Christian Church will host flautist David K during the morning worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday. David K begins his 16th year this year of ministering nationwide to churches and organizations. He has won numerous competitions, including the Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist Competition, placing first for the state of Indiana.
In 2009 David K was selected as World Vision’s Independent Artist of the Year. He is not only a musician, but an engaging and relevant speaker.
He has been the featured speaker for numerous state conventions, revivals and other services across the country. More importantly, David K is recognized as a man with a heart to serve God.

Riverside Community Church of Jesus
The Riverside Community Church of Jesus will host “Hearts Ablaze for Jesus,” a weekend camp meeting, which will be held June 8-10.
Singing and fellowship will be featured on Friday, June 8, beginning at 5 p.m. On Saturday there will be singing and fellowship as well as activities and speakers. Dennis Carrico will speak at 10:15 a.m. and Bobby Oaks and the Skyland Singers will sing at 7 p.m. A cookout will be held at 2 p.m.
Throughout the day on Saturday there will be activities including a craft fair, cakewalks, horseshoe tournaments and fishing by the river (bring your fishing licenses).
Sunday will feature dinner on the grounds at 1 p.m. followed by singing from 3 to 4 p.m. and preaching by Pastor Ben and Sherry Johnson from 4 to 5 p.m.

Homecoming will be held Sunday, June 3, at Milligan Free Will Baptist Church. Mike Presnell will present special singing at the 11 a.m. service.

Caldwell Springs Baptist
“Travel with Paul, the Roaming Roman” at Vacation Bible School, beginning June 3 at the Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. The story of the Apostle Paul will be told in separate drama beginning with the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday. VBS will be held 6 p.m. each day Sunday through Wednesday.
Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. families are invited to VBS registration and inflatable fun. Each night of VBS will consist of a live drama, crafts, snacks, music, missions and recreation.

The Crystal River Boys will present special singing Sunday, June 3, at the 11 a.m. service at the Johnson City Baptist Temple on Milligan Highway.

Stoney Creek Baptist
Vacation Bible School at Stoney Creek Baptist Church will be held June 11-14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each day. The VBS kickoff will be Sunday, June 10, following the evening service at 6 o’clock. Hotdogs, chips, drinks and watermelon will be served at the kickoff.
Sandwiches, chips, cookies and drinks will be served Monday through Wednesday of Vacation Bible School and pizza on Thursday.
Memorial Presbyterian
“Encounter With Christ (Part 1) will be the theme for the message at the 10:45 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Memorial Presbyterian Church (PCA). The scripture text is Acts 9: 1-19. The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at the morning service.
The Chancel Choir will sing “Be Still” by Mary McDonald and the worship team will lead the congregation in singing modern worship songs.
A nursery and Children’s Small Talk will be provided during the morning service.
Sunday School for all ages will begin at 9:30 a.m.

“Whom Shall I Send” will be the theme of morning worship Sunday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City. The sermon text is Isaiah 6: 1-8. Services will be held at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Holy Communion will be served at both services.

The Unicoi Church of God will hold revival services June 8-10 with Evangelist Clifton West, Virginia State Evangelist. West has been in full-time ministry with the Church of God for over 30 years.

On Friday, June 8, the church will host a City-Wide Truth Conference at 7 p.m. Music will be provided by the church’s praise team and the message will be given by Evangelist Manny Mill.
