Happy Valley Baptist Church will be hosting an outdoor praise service on Saturday, June 23, from 5-7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and bring their lawn chairs and plan to enjoy good gospel singing, fellowship and food. Braemar Baptist Church invites children to put on the whole armor of God for Vacation Bible School.
The church will hold VBS from June 28-June 30. This year’s theme is “Where Children Learn to Serve Jesus.”
Classes, which are open to ages three and older, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on June 28-29 and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 30.
The classes will offer games, crafts and refreshments. Bring a friend and enjoy learning about Jesus.
The closing program will offer lunch for all VBS students and their families.

Vacation Bible School will be held at Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church from Sunday-Wednesday, June 24-27.
VBS will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each day. Commencement will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27.

Stoney Creek Church of Christ will hold Vacation Bible School on Saturday, July 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
“The Glory of the Lord Shall Be Revealed” will be the theme of the morning worship message Sunday, June 24, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City. The sermon text is Isaiah 40: 1-5. Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Holy Communion will be served at both services.
Sunday School and Bible study will be held at 9:15 a.m.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available on the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.

Minister Barry Pettit will begin a new sermon series entitled “RE” on Sunday, June 24. His subject Sunday will be “Remember.” Morning worship will begin at 10:45 a.m.

The Missions Ministry will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Wednesday night activities will begin at 7 p.m. with three Bible study classes for adults and classes for children in the nursery through fifth grade. There will be no youth group meetings on Wednesday.
Some 45 junior and senior high school students and 11 adult sponsors will leave Sunday for a week at Summer in the Son at Kentucky Christian University. They will return late Friday, June 29. Derek Woodward is the student minister.
