Elizabethton Church of Christ
A Gospel Meeting is planned for Sunday through Thursday, May 13-17, at Elizabethton Church of Christ.
Sunday services are planned for 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Weeknight services start at 7:30 p.m.
The church is located on Broad Street opposite KFC.
Guest evangelist will be Jeff Trotter of Fort Mill, S.C.
Those with an interest in spiritual matters are invited to join this event for some great fellowship and a spiritual feast. Don’t forget your Bible.
Riverside Community
A special Mother’s Day Service will be held at Riverside Community Church of Jesus at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Little Mountain
Evangelist Charles “Toonie” Cash will be guest speaker for services on Mother’s Day, May 13, at Little Mountain Baptist Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

First Christian
Jeff Campbell will be special guest speaker for the Sunday morning service on Mother’s Day at First Christian Church. Campbell has been in the ministry, preaching and counseling for several years. Morning worship is at 9:45 a.m. followed by Sunday School for all ages.
There will be no evening service Sunday at First Christian.
The Ladies Bible Study Group will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the Fidelis classroom. At 5 p.m. Monday the youth will have a fundraiser at Pizza Inn to help support two young ladies from the church who will be on the mission field this summer. Emilee Nidiffer will serve with Christian Missionary Fellowship in Nairobi, Kenya, and Cara Estep will work with New Mission Systems International in the Ukraine.
Tuesday at 7 p.m. the Carter County Men’s Fellowship will meet at Lower Shell Creek Christian Church.
Wednesday at 7 p.m., Bible Study classes for all ages will meet with choir practice to follow at 8 p.m.
Elders of the church will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the church conference room.

Harvest Baptist
A special Mother’s Day Service will be held at Harvest Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Gifts will be presented to all mothers and, for the two mothers with the most children present, nice prizes will be awarded.
In addition, the church will hold a Baby Dedication with all babies present receiving their first New Testament.
Music and preaching will also focus on mothers. Everyone is welcome to come out and help honor mothers.

East River Park
“Modeling Mothers” will be the subject of Minister Barry Pettit’s message at the 10:45 a.m. worship service on Sunday at East River Park Christian Church. All mothers will be recognized at the service.
Sunday School classes for all ages will begin at 9:45 a.m. The Spanish Ministry will have their services at the same time.
Wednesday evening activities will begin at 7 p.m. with three Bible study classes for adults, classes for children in the nursery through the fifth grade and youth group meetings with sponsors.
The Children’s Ministry will honor mothers with a Mother’s Breakfast on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

First Presbyterian
“Beyond Pacifism and Just War” will be the theme of the message at the Sunday morning worship service Sunday at First Presbyterian Church. The Scripture reading is Romans 12: 1-21. The morning service will begin at 11 a.m.
Adult Forum and Sunday School will be held at 9:45 a.m.

Union Hill FWB
Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School May 14-19 with classes daily from 6 to 8 p.m. The theme of the Bible School will be “Bible Heroes.”
The Bible School will conclude on Saturday with a free concert by Billy Wayne & Tattered Saints.
Billy Wayne Arrington will be the guest speaker for the Sunday morning worship service at 11 a.m. and the evening service at 6 p.m.

Unaka Baptist
The monthly Brotherhood Breakfast at Unaka Baptist Church will be held Saturday, May 12, at 7 a.m. A $6 donation will be appreciated.
During the breakfast the WMU will have a bake sale to raise funds for missions.

Bethlehem Lutheran
“Bearing Fruit” will be the theme of both morning worship services Sunday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City. The sermon text is John 15: 9-17. Communion will be served at both services, which will begin at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
Sunday School and Bible study will be held at 9:15 a.m.
Interpreted services for the deaf are available on the second and fourth Sundays at the 10:45 a.m. service.

RM Calvary Baptist

“The Power of the Word (Part 2)” is the theme for the morning message Sunday at Memorial Presbyterian (PCA) Church. The scripture text is Acts 8: 1-25.
The service will begin at 10:45 a.m. The Wesley Singers from Tennessee Tech University will be singing several selections at the worship service. Also, the church worship team will lead the congregation in singing modern worship songs.
A nursery, children’s “Small Talk” and Kidz Praize Time are provided during the worship service
Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.

Pleasant Beach
Pleasant Beach Baptist Church will honor mothers at its morning worship service Sunday. A Mother’s Day Queen for a Day will be chosen. The guest speaker will be Dr. Joel Spencer from Ambassador College, Lattimore, N.C. He will speak at both the 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. service.

First United Methodist
The sermon “Lessons from Bible Mothers” will be featured Sunday at the morning worship service at First United Methodist Church. The sermon text is Exodus 2: 1-10.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. after which a brief fellowship time will be held. Sunday School for all ages will begin at 11:20 a.m.
The Men’s Prayer Group will meet on Sunday at 9 a.m. in Room 108. The Sunday evening Bible study on the Book of Revelations will be held at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
The Abiding Love Bible Study will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the fellowship hall.
