Church will offer dinner, breakfast during festival

By

For many years it has been said that during the annual National Storytelling Festival, the best meals in Jonesborough are found at Jackson Park Church of the Brethren, 100 Oak Grove Ave.

Friday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., the Women’s Fellowship Ministry will serve barbecue, slaw, soup beans, cornbread and the always-popular potato soup. Great homemade desserts will also be available.

Saturday, Oct. 6, from 7 to 10 a.m., the Youth Club will cook a Country Breakfast including pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, eggs and grits.

The proceeds benefit the community through the Youth and Women’s Fellowship Ministry.

A suggested donation of $5 or more per person per meal is greatly appreciated. Carryouts are also available.

Please stop by for a fun time with plenty of food and fellowship. The church is located just off West Main Street, convenient to all the storytelling action.
