Two Elizabethton businesses’ efforts to support employees who are members of the National Guard or military Reserves brought them Patriotic Employer honors Monday.

Brad Moffitt with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve presented the Patriotic Employer Award to Dino’s Restaurant and Lowe’s Home Improvement on Monday afternoon.

Moffitt pointed out that the businesses were nominated by either current or past employees who felt their employer went beyond the required level of support to National Guard or reserve employees.

Dino’s Restaurant was nominated by a former employee, Jordan Pearce. Moffitt said Pearce worked at Dino’s temporarily while searching for a full-time job.

John Williams, co-owner of Dino’s, said it was a very small sacrifice for a business to support employees with military commitments.
