City Council begins interviews Friday for city manager

Elizabethton’s City Council will hold the first of two city manager interview sessions Friday afternoon when Melissa Peagler of Morristown and interim city manager Jerome Kitchens are interviewed for the position.

The interviews will begin at City Hall on March 15 at 3:30 p.m. Peagler will be interviewed from 3:30-4:45 p.m. with a public reception to follow until 5:15 p.m. Kitchens will be interviewed from 5:15-6:30 p.m. with a public reception to follow until 7 p.m.

The second interview session will be held on Thursday, March 21. Steven Neilson of Johnson City will be interviewed from 2-3:15 p.m. with a reception from 3:15-3:45 p.m. Jeffrey Morse of Valdese, N.C. will be interviewed from 3:45-5 p.m. and will have a reception from 5-5:30 p.m.

The public can attend the interviews and the reception.
