KINGSPORT — Elizabethton’s basketball team is on a mission at the New Peoples Bank Holiday Classic, and triggerman Zeke Clark jump-started the Cyclones in a big way on Thursday night.
With the senior point guard firing in a career-high 33 points and coming up with six steals, Elizabethton rolled over Lee High 66-51 in the opening round at J. Richard Carroll Gymnasium.
“It just came from a lot of my offense,” Clark said. “Everybody got together and created a lot of open shots for me, and it really helps me out when everybody else gets together.”
Clark broke free for 11 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, when the Cyclones (10-4) raced to a 22-10 lead after one quarter on his 3-pointer at the buzzer.
