Jerry Pierce & The Nightlife Band will play at the Johnson City Senior Center, 607 E. Myrtle Ave., from 7 to 10 p.m.

The Green Pastures Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 8 p.m. in the Conference Room at Crossroads, 413 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

Southern Countrymen Band will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at The Outdoorsman on Stone Drive in Kingsport. Admission is $5. For more information, call Daryl Goodman at 943-5600.

 

SaturdayOct. 20

Hampton Masonic Lodge No. 750, 1st Avenue and Main Street, Hampton, will have its annual Apple Butter Making starting at 7 a.m. Everyone is invited to drop by and help stir. The apple butter will be for sale Saturday evening.

East Tennessee Spay and Neuter will be hosting HOWLoween from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tractor Supply in Elizabethton. Come out for Halloween Pet Photos ($5), free dog training demos, microchipping ($20), Cat’s Paw Scratching posts, engraved pet items and more. Proceeds benefit ETSN’s local programs.

The Russell Honeycutt Family Reunion will be held at Sunset Freewill Church in Hampton from 1 to 4 p.m. A potluck lunch will be served. For more information, call 542-6608.

The Ensor Family Reunion will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Dungan Chapel Fellowship Fall. A covered dish luncheon will be served.

Borderline will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Buffalo Ruritan Club in Bluff City. Admission is $5.

Rocky Top Gun Permit School will hold a Tennessee Handgun Permit training class beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the B&K Community Center on the Old Bristol Highway in Elizabethton. Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step Closed Meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at Crossroads, 413 E. Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

Narcotics Anonymous “Just For Today” group will meet at the Crossroads Building at 12:15 p.m. Enter through the entrance at the rear of the building.

Carter County Democrat Women will meet at 6 p.m. at the Democrat Headquarters, 441 E. Elk Ave., Elizabethton. Frederic Poag, Chairman of The Young Democrats at ETSU, will be guest speaker. All Democrats are welcome, with a special invitation to all young people who would like to take their country forward as a Democrat.

The Al-Anon “Free To Be Me” Family Group will meet at 6 p.m. at the Watauga Baptist Association Building, 3871 Highway 19E, Elizabethton.

The Buladeen Citizens Center Club, 2819 Highway 91, Stoney Creek, will meet at 6:30 p.m. All members are urged to attend to finalize the officers elected for the new year. The club is still searching for “Stoney Creek Memories,” which can include mementos about schools, ball teams, churches, people and much more. A Security Guard Training Class will be taught at the B&K Community Center on the Old Bristol Highway beginning at 8:30 a.m. The class will consist of unarmed, armed, renewal, chemical spray, baton and handcuffing. Ken Potter, state certified trainer, will be instructing the class. For cost and to enroll, call 341-1709.
