A Country Breakfast will be held at Dashiell Lodge in Elizabethton from 7 to 10 a.m. Price for adults is $5, and $3 for children 12 and under. Carryouts will be available

Shayne will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Buffalo Ruritan Club in Bluff City. Admission is $5.

Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step Closed Meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at Crossroads, 413 E. Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

Narcotics Anonymous “Just For Today” group will meet at the Crossroads Building at 12:15 p.m. Enter through the entrance at the rear of the building.

 

SundaySept. 30

Rhea Lodge No. 47, 210 Second Ave., Jonesborough, will host a Steak and Gravy Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $7 for adults or $8 at the door. For children 12 and under, tickets are $4.

American Legion Watauga Post No. 49 and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will meet at the American Legion building, on the corner of West G Street and Watauga Avenue. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 7 p.m. First time non-member veterans will have dinner for free. Any veteran interested in becoming a member of the Post is invited. The high school counselors from the Carter County School System, in collaboration with Niswonger Foundation, are sponsoring the Ready, Set, Go Financial Aid Preview. The event, which is free and open to all Carter County high school seniors who are interested in learning more about financial planning for college, will take place at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Food will be provided from 5 to 6 p.m., and the program will conclude at 8 p.m. Please RSVP with your school counselor for more information.

Hampton Lodge No. 750 will hold a stated meeting at 7 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend. Visitors are always welcome.
