Tuesday-July 24

Hampton Lodge No. 750 will host the Annual Tennessee Grand Lodge Official Visit. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., with the meeting to begin at 7 p.m. All members and Card Holders are encouraged to attend. As always, visitors are always welcome.

Carter County Democratic Women will meet at Dino’s Restaurant. The public as well as members are invited. Men are always welcome. Attendees will dine at 5:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6:30.

The Al-Anon “Free To Be Me” Family Group will meet at 6 p.m. at the Watauga Baptist Association Building, 3871 Highway 19E, Elizabethton.

The Green Pastures Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 8 p.m. in the Conference Room at Crossroads, 413 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

 

Wednesday-July 25

Narcotics Anonymous “Just For Today” group will meet at the Crossroads Building at 8 p.m. Enter through the entrance at the rear of the building.

 

Thursday-July 26

The Roan Mountain 12-Step Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. at Magill Presbyterian Church, 296 Highway 143, Roan Mountain.

 

Friday-July 27

Southern Countrymen Band will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at The Outdoorsman on Stone Drive in Kingsport. Admission is $5. For more information, call Daryl Goodman at 943-5600.

The Johnson City Grand Squares — a square dance and round dance club — will hold a regular Friday dance from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Johnson City Seniors Center, 607 Myrtle Ave. The dance will feature square rounds and lines. The descendants of George W. Taylor and Matilda Peters Taylor will be having a family reunion at Unaka Baptist Church, 1598 Highway 91, from 4 until 9 p.m. with a meal served at 5 p.m. Families are asked to provide one entree or meat, a side dish or salad, dessert, bread and drinks for your family. Musical instruments and tagged family pictures are welcomed. A family reunion for the descendants of William “Bill” and Mary Jane Potter Timbs will be held at Observation Knob Park, Shelter B, at South Holston Lake in Bristol. A covered dish meal will be served at 11 a.m. Take Highway 421 and turn left at Darter’s Store onto Highway 44. Go about two to three miles and look for Observation Knob sign and turn right.
