All Relay for Life teams are encouraged to attend monthly team meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the classroom located beside the cafeteria at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Meetings usually last one hour. Come get the inside scoop on Relay and help us find a cure! For information on Relay or the American Cancer Society, call Amy Hopson at 282-7011.

The Libertarian Party of Tri-Cities will meet at 7 p.m. at Logan’s Roadhouse in Johnson City. Topics of discussion will include the upcoming election, Judge Jim Gray’s visit to the Tri-Cities and polling activities for Nov. 6. Please note early voting in Tennessee begins Wednesday, Oct. 17, so remember to vote early.

 

FridayOct. 19

Hampton Lodge No. 750 will hold a stated meeting at 7 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend. Visitors are always welcome.

The Green Pastures Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 8 p.m. in the Conference Room at Crossroads, 413 East Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

Southern Countrymen Band will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at The Outdoorsman on Stone Drive in Kingsport. Admission is $5. For more information, call Daryl Goodman at 943-5600.

 

SaturdayOct. 20

Hampton Masonic Lodge No. 750, 1st Avenue and Main Street, Hampton, will have its annual Apple Butter Making starting at 7 a.m. Everyone is invited to drop by and help stir. The apple butter will be for sale Saturday evening.

East Tennessee Spay and Neuter will be hosting HOWLoween from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tractor Supply in Elizabethton. Come out for Halloween Pet Photos ($5), free dog training demos, microchipping ($20), Cat’s Paw Scratching posts, engraved pet items and more. Proceeds benefit ETSN’s local programs.

The Russell Honeycutt Family Reunion will be held at Sunset Freewill Church in Hampton from 1 to 4 p.m. A potluck lunch will be served. For more information, call 542-6608.

The Ensor Family Reunion will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Dungan Chapel Fellowship Fall. A covered dish luncheon will be served.

Borderline will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Buffalo Ruritan Club in Bluff City. Admission is $5.

Rocky Top Gun Permit School will hold a Tennessee Handgun Permit training class beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the B&K Community Center on the Old Bristol Highway in Elizabethton. Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step Closed Meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at Crossroads, 413 E. Elk Ave., Elizabethton.

Narcotics Anonymous “Just For Today” group will meet at the Crossroads Building at 12:15 p.m. Enter through the entrance at the rear of the building.
