Narcotics Anonymous “Just For Today” group will meet at the Crossroads Building at 8 p.m. Enter through the entrance at the rear of the building.

 

Thursday-July 19

Citizens In Action will hold a Town Hall meeting at 6 p.m. in the courtroom of the Carter County Courthouse. Everyone is welcome.

The Republican Women will hold a special called meeting at Dino’s at noon. All interested women are invited to attend.

The Roan Mountain 12-Step Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. at Magill Presbyterian Church, 296 Highway 143, Roan Mountain.

Southern Countrymen Band will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cumberland Park in downtown Bristol for “Concert in the Park with a Movie.” For more information, call Daryl Goodman at 943-5600.

 

Friday-July 20

Hampton Lodge No. 750 will hold a stated meeting at 7 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend. Visitors are always welcome.

Mountain Empire Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will hold its annual picnic from 5 to 8 p.m. at the main pavilion at Warriors Path State Park in Kingsport. Please call LCDR Tom Shafer at 639-0874 for information and to confirm attendance for planning purposes.

A family reunion for the descendants of William J. and Mary Badget Lewis will be held at Brick Christian Church, 815 Watauga Road, Watauga. Lunch will be served at noon. A family reunion for the descendants of William Grant Roberson and Eva Whitehead Roberson will be held at Roan Mountain State Park, Picnic Shed No. 1. Rocky Top Gun Permit School will hold a Tennessee Handgun Permit training class beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the B&K Community Center on the Old Bristol Highway in Elizabethton.
