County Commission votes not to raise tax rate
The Carter County Commission has decided not to raise the tax rate from $2.15 per $100 assessed value to $2.21 per $100. The commission agreed to a motion made by Commissioner Charlie Bayless to keep the rate as is, at $2.15 per $100 assessed value.
