County schools director updates board on possible joint technology classes

By

The city and county school systems continue to consider jointly operating technology classes at the Herman Robinson Campus in Elizabethton.

Carter County Interim Director of Schools Kevin Ward told board members Thursday evening that a meeting was held at the Tennessee Technology Center’s Herman Robinson Campus in Elizabethton last week. Ward said Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, state Sen. Rusty Crowe, state Rep. Kent Williams and TTC Director Dean Blevins attended the meeting.

The school systems might jointly hold classes at the campus when TTC completes construction at its Stoney Creek campus. The Herman Robinson Campus will be vacated when work at the Stoney Creek campus is complete.
