County seeks dismissal of two separate lawsuits

A circuit court judge has set hearings in two cases filed against Carter County, including one complaint by Carter County Planning and Zoning Director Christopher Schuettler and another filed by Carter at Main owner Linda Whitehead.

The $600,000 lawsuit filed by Schuettler and his wife, Melanie, will be heard Oct. 8 and the $50,000 lawsuit filed by the Carter at Main will be heard Nov. 19 in Carter County Circuit Court. Both hearings are in response to motions for dismissal filed by the county.
