Croy follows father, grandfather in law enforcement
Investigator Matt Croy of the Elizabethton Police Department is the third generation in his family to work in law enforcement.
Croy’s grandfather, Clyde Croy, started working at the Carter County Sheriff’s Department in 1976. After a year, he was hired at the EPD and eventually climbed the ranks to captain. He has since retired.
Matt’s father, Rocky Croy, started working at the CCSD in 1983 and is now administrative captain.
