It was the present giving back to the future.
The Elizabethton football team and coaches treated over 60 Boys & Girls Club youth to a morning of football drills and camaraderie with the second annual Cyclone Touchdown Club Youth Football Camp Saturday morning at Elizabethton High School.
Whether it was pushing the young athletes through drills or spending individual time with the kids, it was a rewarding experience for both the club and the current Cyclone players.
“Our kids love giving back to the community,” club official Tony Briggs said. “The little kids look up to them and to see how big their eyes get when they see an Ethan Thomas or a Caleb Bailey or an Adam Mullins. They get to spend one-on-one time with them and some were even asking our kids to sign their shirts.”
