Cyclones ease past North

If anyone had any doubts before Friday night’s kickoff, they were quickly answered over the course of 48 minutes.

With star rusher Ethan Thomas sidelined due to conflicting medical reports, Elizabethton turned to a variety of offensive weapons and handled another Three Rivers Conference foe with ease.

Combining for 401 offensive yards on the ground and through the air, the sixth-ranked Cyclones (6-1) stormed over Sullivan North 51-23 on Senior Night at Brown-Childress Stadium.

“We have some playmakers and not just on a senior level, it’s all the way down,” said senior quarterback Caleb Bailey, who had a big night in both phases of the offensive game. “They just keep stepping up and making plays. We’ve got some good people stepping up.”
