KINGSPORT — After Sullivan North generated a high-energy effort, the Elizabethton Cyclones exercised their right to open the floodgates.
Breaking up a tight battle with a 30-6 game-ending run, Elizabethton closed its regular season Friday night by knocking off the Golden Raiders 74-48 in Three Rivers Conference action at J. Richard Carroll Gymnasium.
“I think in the first three quarters, they just had a lot of energy,” said EHS guard Zeke Clark. “It was their senior night and everything, and they were playing real good basketball. And the shots they were making, they don’t normally make. They started to fall off after all their energy went away, and we picked up our defensive hustle.”
