Demo Party announces office hours

The Carter County Democratic Party and the Carter County Democratic Women held a grand opening for their campaign headquarters at 444 E. Elk Ave., next to the Veterans Wall of Honor.

Attendees listened to the music of the Matthews/Boyd duo and enjoyed refreshments.

Attendees also received a first-hand report from Mike Lane, who attended the recent Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

Office hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The office is the place to obtain yard signs, bumper stickers, buttons and other campaign merchandise.
