Driver arrested in Siam Road crash

A man accused of crashing a car last month on Siam Road has been arrested on outstanding warrants.

Huston D. Hartley, 19, 817 First St., Elizabethton, was accused of wrecking a gold 1996 Chevrolet Caprice on Siam Road at Jones Road on Sept. 18. The vehicle, which was occupied by two individuals, crashed into a utility pole and fence in front of 103 Jones Road. Carter County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Michael Bean said Hartley fled the scene. A passenger, Joshua Carver, 18, was injured and taken to Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Bean said Carver identified Hartley as the driver.
