Driver in stable condition after Tuesday’s fatal crash

City police say a 20-year-old Elizabethton man was killed early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in front of the Milligan Grocery.

According to the Elizabethton Police Department, Tanner Perkins, 20, was the passenger in a white 2002 BMW which struck an overhead sign pole at the Milligan Grocery, located at 1518 Milligan Highway. Perkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
