The combination of chocolate and peanut butter has been a home run for candy eaters across American since 1928. And just like the Reese’s Cup, the same can be said about an EHS softball and volleyball player that has decided to play the pair at the next level.
Ashleigh Dykes made things sweet for Virginia Intermont by signing scholarship papers to play softball and volleyball on Tuesday at Elizabethton High School. It’s a difficult task on which to excel, but Dykes, who supports a 3.7 GPA, feels like she can make it work.
“This means the world to me,” said Dykes about the opportunity given. “I’ve always wanted to play a sport in college, but getting to play two is 10 times better.
