E.T. Electric, Chick-Fil-A each make presence felt

East Tennessee Electric rolled to a rout.
Chick-Fil-A, meanwhile, built a dominate advantage before emerging victorious.
Electric pounded Elks 15-2 and Chick-Fil- A defeated Carter County Bank 8-4 in Thursday night’s Carter County American League coach-pitch baseball action at Billy Bob Garrison Field.

Electric’s Hunter Smith batted 3 for 3 with RBIs while scoring two runs and clubbing a pair of doubles. Cannon Clark also went 3 for 3 with three runs and two RBIs.
Griffin Thompson and Wilson Burns each hit 2 for 2 with two RBIs and two runs. Braedon Powell and Dylan Woodby were each 2 for 2 with a run and two RBIs.
Jacob Birchfield went 2 for 2. Colton Gardner was 2 for 2 with two runs.
Elks’ Jacob Issacs batted 2 for 2.
Electric punched the maximum five runs across the plate in each of its three at-bats. Thompson began the flurry with a two-run double.
Powell rapped a run-scoring single. Woodby’s two-run single made it 5-0 in the first inning.
The second saw Smith and Burns each unleash two-run doubles. Powell’s run-scoring single pushed the advantage to 10-0.
Elks got its two scores in the third. Gage Hughes delivered a run-scoring double. Issacs tagged a run-scoring single.
The onslaught was completed in the third. Birchfield led off with an inside-the-park home run.
Clark followed with a two-run single. Smith belted a two-run double.

Chick-Fil-A’s Luke Peters, Landon Ramsey and Nate Stephens each batted 3 for 3.
Lyndie Ramsey went 2 for 2. Going 2 for 3 were Caleb Bachelder, Gage Treadway, Cade Russell and Caleb Tipton.
Carter County Bank’s Jonah Hubbard and Brady Hicks each hit 2 for 2. Going 2 for 3 were Avery Hill and Matthew Tester.
Hill’s run-scoring single in the first put Carter County up early. Tester had led the game off with a double.
Chick-Fil-A surged ahead 5-1 in the bottom half. A run crossed on an error, Landon Ramsey ripped a run-scoring single, Bachelder delivered a two-run single and Gib Maupin roped a run-scoring single.
Chic-Fil-A left the bags juiced in the second. In the third, Carter County pulled within 5-3 following Tester’s run-scoring single and an error scoring Hubbard — who had doubled.
Landon Ramsey and Treadway each came through with run-scoring singles in the bottom half, and Chic-Fil-A built its cushion to 7-3. Again the bases were left loaded.
Hill led off the fourth with a triple. Parker Henry slammed a run-scoring double, and the deficit was cut to 7-4.
Tipton’s run-scoring single in the fourth completed the onslaught.
Carter County stranded runners on second and third base in fifth. Chic-Fil-A left a runner on third in the bottom half.
