E-Twins absorb fourth straight loss

KINGSPORT — Elizabethton manager Ray Smith took that ultimate measure on Wednesday night to pump motivation into this team.
He got ejected, in the ninth inning.
And it seemed to work briefly. After the Twins rallied to tie Kingsport, the Mets prevailed 3-2 for the second evening in a row on a walk-off hit in Appalachian League action at Hunter Wright Stadium.
Elizabethton, defending Appy League champion, dropped its fourth straight and 41⁄2 games out of the West Division lead.
