DANVILLE, Va. — After starting the season 14-4, then falling apart, the Elizabethton Twins have again gotten their act together.
Beating Danville twice on Monday night — 7-4 and 2-1 — the Twins have won six of their last seven games to creep back within a game of .500.
Now 25-26 on the year, Elizabethton trails Kingsport by five games for the wild-card berth out of the West Division.
Monday’s 7-4 win was the completion of a suspended game from July 22.
Trailing 3-0 after one inning, the Twins broke a 3-3 tie with a three-run bottom of the sixth.
