EHS posts one-sided victory over Johnson County

MOUNTAIN CITY — The defense rises again.

Holding Johnson County to 160 yards of total offense with three interceptions in the field, Elizabethton stormed to its fourth shutout of the season with a 38-0 Three Rivers Conference victory Friday at McEwen Stadium.

“Anytime you can hold Johnson County, up here, to zero points it’s a tremendous effort,” said Elizabethton coach Shawn Witten. “Johnson County’s always tough to play up here. It was physical to begin with, senior night for them and they really gave a great effort.”
