Swimming at home is starting to agree with Elizabethton.
The Aqua Cyclones sped through the water to victories over Volunteer and Cherokee on Tuesday night. Overall, Elizabethton rolled up 160 points to 53 for Cherokee and 51 for Volunteer.
The Lady Cyclones had no trouble, with 91 points over Cherokee’s 44 and Volunteer’s 17. On the boys’ side, the winning total was 75 to Volunteer’s 34 and Cherokee’s nine.
“It was a very good meet,” Elizabethton coach Justin Conway said. “Tonight marked the fifth straight meet we’ve had here that we’ve won, so it’s been very nice to have sort of a home swimming pool advantage. Most of the time when we hold a meet here, we face a team that’s a similar size in ability level, so to win five straight means we’re doing the right things.”
