If time allows, the troop will also install new signs along portions of the Appalachian Trail.

Troop Leader Larry Vance said the troop was invited to help with the project after a troop member contacted the TVA about an Eagle Scout project.

“The Scouts always like doing service projects,” Vance said. “The Scouts are committed to community service. Part of that requires they put in service hours toward projects that help the community.”

Troop 29 has 21 members, many of whom will take part in Saturday’s kiosk project.
